On busy days when I forget that the other humans in my house need to eat, I often throw frozen meat into my pressure cooker to get dinner on it’s way–well before I actually decide what I’m making. In this video, I take you through an actual evening this happened and the process of frozen meat to your belly in a little over 40 minutes (including pressurizing time).

Frozen Ground Beef in the Pressure Cooker: Place rack on the inside of your pressure cooker. Add 1 1/2 cups of water. Place frozen chubs on wire rack inside cooker. Seal lid, seal valve, and set on high pressure for 26 minutes. Natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then release remaining pressure. Crumble beef as you would for your ground beef recipe. This recipe works for up to 2 lbs of ground beef in the 6qt cooker, and 4lbs in the 8qt cooker. Do not stack the meat directly on top of each other.
