Cream of Anything Soup Mix
Two months ago I ran across a video of someone (Stunning Misadventures) making their own version of shelf stable, gluten free, cream of anything soup… and of course, you know I had to go on that adventure! And today was just the day! It was rainy and I needed a feel good meal, so here we go! And now, my life will be forever changed! Thank you Stunning Misadventures!

Cream of Anything
1 cup nonfat instant dry milk
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/8 cup chicken bouillon granules
2 tsp dry onion flakes
1/4 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp basil
2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp pepper
Combine all ingredients in a pint size mason jar and shake to combine. Mix 1/3 cup of mix with 1 cup of boiling water and add to any recipe that calls for a cream of soup. Great to have on hand for quick meal prep or package it up cute and gift it for the holidays.

I finally tried this yesterday and the recipe I used it in turned out fantastic; much, much, more flavorful than if I’d used canned mushroom soup. I used salt-free chicken bouillon powder, since I have to watch sodium, but it was still very flavorful! Thank you!! I think I’m going to make up a big batch and put it in a big Mason jar, then vacuum seal with my new Food Saver!
