Calzones in the air fryer are so easy you’ll wonder why you haven’t done it before now! But did you know that you can put much more than just pizza ingredients into a calzone? Well, watch as I utilize the leftover items from my refrigerator for some delicious results! Beware, this video will make your drool! 😉
Thank you to community member Cache Jewels for this request!
How to make Calzones: Separate your pizza dough into 4 parts. Roll out each part into squares (or as close to squares as you can get them). On the angle, fill your pizza dough with sauce first (don’t skimp, but don’t put too much either) and toppings. Fold the dough over the toppings so you make a half-moon or triangle shape. Crimp the edges with a fork, or roll the bottom edge of the dough up and into the top piece. Cut at least two vent holes. Place onto a greased air fryer tray and air fry for 10-12 minutes on 400, turning at the halfway mark. Serve with a complimentary dipping sauce.
