Air Fryer Philly Cheesesteak
It was only a matter of time before I did some Philly Cheesesteak in my #deluxeairfryer so I’m sure this video it no surprise… but boy was I in for a surprise with these flavors! I would do a few things differently next time (like more meat, that was not enough meat), but this is a recipe to repeat… and often! Everyone was pleased!
Air Fryer Philly Cheesesteak
Ingredients:
- 1 pound rib eye or eye of round, sliced thin
- salt and pepper
- 1 white onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- cheez whiz or/and provolone
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4-6 Tablespoons of melted butter
- 1-2 teaspoons of minced garlic (2-4 cloves)
Instructions:
- Season your thinly sliced meat and veggies with salt and pepper.
- Add your meat and veggies in turn to the rotisserie basket of the Deluxe Air Fryer; or to the basket or tray of your air fryer. Be careful not to overfill your basket or tray.
- For Deluxe Air Fryer: Set to Rotisserie at 400°F for 12-18 minutes or until meat and veggies have taken on some color.
- For other air fryers: Set to 400°F for 12-18 minutes. Shake your basket or turn your meat and veggies several times during cooking to assure an even cook.
- Meanwhile, mix together your butter and garlic and cut open your hoagie rolls. Brush the open sides with your butter mixture. As soon as the meat and veggies are done, place your buns on the air fryer tray and air fry at 400°F for 3-5 minutes or until the rolls are toasted.
- Cut your meat and veggies up into bits and pile onto your rolls.
- Top with your selected cheese (or both) and air fry once again at 400°F for 2 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and bubbly.
