Burgers: the reason to get a sous vide!

Community member Fred F suggested I try to sous vide some burgers and OH MY WORD. This… THIS! If you needed another reason to buy a sous vide… THIS is it. Never suffer with overcook cheese burgers or hamburgers again. I will never make burgers another way… EVER!

Sous Vide Hamburger – Salt & Pepper or rub of your choice. Seal in bag. Set temp on your sous vide for your desired doneness levels (see below) for 40 minutes. Sear 30-60 seconds on both sides.

  • 124-129 medium-rare
  • 130-137 medium
  • 138-144 medium-well
  • 145-155 well done

Sous Vide Turkey Burger – Salt & Pepper or rub of your choice. Seal in bag. Set temp on your sous vide for 145.5°F for 1 hour. Sear 30-60 seconds on both sides. Finish temp at 165°F

Sous Vide Bison Burger – Salt & Pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Set temp on your sous vide for 150°F for 1 hour. Sear for 30-60 seconds on both sides. Finish temp at 160°F.
